Several months ago I wrote about Installation Art in my ezine. This month internationally known artists, Christo and Jean-Claude, completed a large scale installation in New York’s Central Park called “The Gates”. This project consumes the park and is being visited by thousands of people. Projects of this magnitude are not new to these artists … in fact they specialize in huge projects. “The Gates” is to be experienced as well as viewed.

Flaming June

One of my favorite paintings ever is "Flaming June" by Frederic Lieghton. Ths piece is very soft and sensual, has colors which command the viewers attention. Painted in 1895, during the Victorian era, it transended the prudishness of the days culture. Today the painting hangs in the "Museo de Arte de Ponce" in Puerto Rico.
